HOUSTON — When former President George Bush stood beside Senator John McCain here on Monday and gave him a Presidents’ Day endorsement, it was just the latest chapter in the sometimes-tangled saga of the Bush and the McCain dynasties. Permalink [Category: Bush, Endorsements, McCain] May 19, 2007
Former President Bill Clinton is speaking today in the presidential swing state of New Hampshire, but he is not speaking on her behalf; he is speaking with a Republican. President Bush's approval rating continues to languish within the Granite State with 60 percent disapproving of the job he is doing. This is not likely to affect any federal races in NH as both US House seats look to be firmly Republican (Jeb Bradley [1st District] and Charlie Bass [2nd District]). On the flip side, the governorship looks like it will be retained by the Democratic incumbent, John Lynch. Neither NH Senator is up for re-election (Gregg and Sununu).
