ElectaPres.com is a Web site that aggregates news and commentary from various Internet sources regarding the perpetual U.S. presidential election. Links are provided back to the original source and, per fair use, one to three paragraphs are included to give you, the reader, a sense of the article or opinion. Original commentary is known to occasionally pop up on the site, also.

As you probably already are aware, links to source URLs on the Internet become unreliable over time. Our guess is that links tend to have a half-life of about 6 months, so we recognize that the links we provide are not guaranteed to work in the future. As a matter of fact, a more accurate statement would be that links from ElectaPres.com are guaranteed *not* to work in the future. This is a general problem with the Internet at large which is not going to be solved any time soon, so we all must live with the problem, unfortunately. Minds greater than ours will have to come up with a solution to this grave informational loss which occurs daily.

Peter Bakke

Peter Bakke is the creator and editor of Electapres.com, a web site devoted to political news and opinion about the perpetual United States presidential election.

Bakke has always had an interest in the news of the day, including local, state and presidential politics. He is the former online manager of the highly regarded Concord Monitor newspaper of Concord, New Hampshire. As the Monitor's online manager, he experienced the New Hampshire primary up close and personal, having participated in the 1988 through 2004 NH presidential primary seasons.

He has now focused his attention on the 2008 presidential election and shares his zeal with you on Electapres.com

Bakke's other professional experience includes an eight year career as an IBM software engineer in upstate New York and he has also managed a family business in Henniker, NH. He holds a masters degree in International Relations from Troy University and a bachelors degree in Computer Systems Applications from American University.
